Med-view Airline Plc will pay shareholders dividends electronically on April 3rd 2018. This follows the release of the details of its corporate action to the management of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) last week.
“A dividend of 3 kobo per share for the shareholders, whose names appear in the Register of members as at the close of business on the 20th of March, 2018 as the Register of Shareholders will be closed from Wednesday 21st to Tuesday 27th March 2018.
“On April 3rd, 2018, dividends will be paid electronically to shareholders whose names appears on the Register of Members as at 20th of March, 2018 and who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the Registrar to pay their dividends directly into their bank accounts”, the company said in a note to the NSE.
In the financial year that just ended, Med-view made N36.96 billion as gross earnings representing 42 percent increase over N26.04 billion realised in similar period in 2016. Gross profit was up by 45 percent as it rose to N6.01 billion in 2017 from N4.14 billion in the previous year.
Profit after tax increased by 62 percent during the intervening period to N1.25 billion in contrast to N772.85 million made in the previous year.
On the flip side, operating cost rose by 41 percent to N30.95 billion compared with N21.90 billion spent in the previous year. By implication, 84 percent of the revenue made by the company went in the ways of generating sales.
