Malta Guinness will partner with the organisers of the Iri Ji Festival to host this year’s edition in Lagos, scheduled for Sunday, 28 September, at the FHA Ground in Festac.
Jerry Nwankwo, Brand Manager at Malta Guinness, said: “We are excited to be part of the Iri Ji Festival this year. It gives us an opportunity to connect with our consumers in the heart of culture, bringing vitality and energy to a celebration that reflects our shared values as Nigerians.”
The festival, which centres on the Igbo tradition of celebrating the new yam harvest, has grown into an occasion of cultural unity and identity across Nigeria. It provides a platform where families and communities come together to share food, music, dance, and other cultural expressions.
Through its partnership, Malta Guinness will bring activities and brand experiences aimed at creating positive connections with attendees. The company stated that its presence at the festival will highlight its long-standing commitment to supporting cultural and community initiatives across the country.
Festival-goers will experience a range of activities, from cultural showcases to community engagements, while also enjoying the product. According to the organisers, the aim is to strengthen cultural pride and create opportunities for people of different backgrounds to interact.
The Iri Ji Festival is expected to bring together residents of Lagos and beyond, marking another year of continuity for a tradition that emphasises unity, gratitude, and cultural expression.
