Dapo Majekodunmi, CEO and medical director of St. Nicholas Hospital has commended the milestone achievements and accomplishment of the multi-specialist hospital as the institution clocks 50 today.
In a statement he personally signed, Majekodunmi said that St. Nicholas Hospital’s strategic vision had been sustained since its inception in 1968.
“We are very proud of what we have achieved over the years as a multi-specialist hospital and we are happy that we have delivered efficient and outstanding patient care with good outcomes. This has been achieved through the provision of high-quality acute medical and surgical services for patients who attend our hospital from different parts of Nigeria,” the Chief Medical Director said.
He noted that St. Nicholas was one of the foremost privately owned multi-specialist hospitals in the Nigerian healthcare sector.
According to him, “St. Nicholas is a national provider of healthcare and receives referrals from around the country on a daily basis. Significantly, St. Nicholas Hospital has recorded over 200 successfully kidney transplants, a feat which represents over 8o percent of all transplant procedures within sub-Saharan Africa.”
On his vision for the institution going forward, Majekodunmi said he would like to see St. Nicholas expand its reach and achieve new milestones in the medical care of its patients.
“St. Nicholas will expand this year. We run services from our four locations, and I want to ensure they are all running as efficiently as possible. We have comprehensive plans to continue to improve our services and reach across the country,” he said.
