Premier League champions Liverpool have reportedly rejected a £58.6 million bid from Bayern Munich for star winger Luis Diaz, firmly reiterating that the Colombian is not for sale.
The Bundesliga giants made an approach earlier this month, but Liverpool immediately dismissed it and reinforced that stance on Tuesday by turning down Bayern’s formal opening offer for the 28-year-old, whose contract runs until 2027.
Liverpool reportedly value Diaz at over £87 million, viewing him as a key player in new manager Arne Slot’s plans. Diaz scored 22 goals for club and country last season, including 13 in the Premier League, helping Liverpool clinch the title by a commanding 10-point margin.
The Colombian has previously attracted interest from Manchester City and clubs in Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are actively pursuing a new striker, with Newcastle’s Alexander Isak emerging as a top target.
BBC Sport reports that the Reds have made concrete progress in talks and are also evaluating other centre-forward options.
