At its annual reunion recently, the Lagos Business School’s Senior Management Programme (SMP59), elected Charles Imuzeze as its new president.
In his acceptance speech, Imuzeze promised to facilitate the creation of enabling social and business atmosphere in the society and for everyone. This was part of his campaign promises.
Thanking the SMP59 Class for the confidence bestowed on him, Imuzeze pleaded for the support and cooperation of every member to enable him deliver on his electoral promises, as he pilots the affairs of the society for the next two years.
“This administration will create equal social and business opportunities for the society and for everyone,” he said.
Imuzeze charged his members to champion and execute any idea with positive impact within their reach in the society.
Promising accountability, integrity and sincerity of purpose, Imuzeze assured members he would use the democratic powers vested on him to ensure active participation and cohesion among SMP59 members. He promised to ensure that his members actively participate in LBS activities.
The SMP is an executive programme designed for functional managers, regional managers as well as unit heads with seven or more years of work experience of managing a team.
The main aim of the programme is to increase the effectiveness of executives by improving their strategic thinking capabilities.
The SMP builds the personal skills of participants in order to enable them to achieve an immediate and measurable improvement in their contribution to their organisations.
Equally elected to the new executive board were Bukola James Cole as vice president and Godwin Clark as secretary-general.
Charles Imuzeze is a graduate of Computer Science from the University of Benin. He holds a Masters in Business Administration from Lagos State University and an alumnus of the Lagos Business School, SMP59 Class.
He is a full member of the Advertising Practitioner Council of Nigeria (APCON) and a member of the Education Committee of MIPAN (Media Independent Practitioner Association of Nigeria).
