The political group aligning with former governor of Kano State, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso – Kwankwasiyya movement – has passed vote of no confidence of the Kano State of commissioner of police, Rabiu Yusuf.
The group described the police commissioner as partisan and unprofessional in the handling of last week attack’s at Durban Sallah celebration in Kano.
Speaking on behalf of the movement while addressing journalists this afternoon, the former Kano State commissioner for State affairs, Aminu Abdulsalam, under former governor Senator Rabiu Miss Kwankwaso administration, expressed dismay over abusive languages that the commissioner through his spokesman of the command used while addressing journalist over the incident
He noted that the report of the CP, who claimed that members of the group were chanting bamaiyi contradicted that of the state commissioner for information who told newsmen that the state governor came and left the scene of the event before the bloody attack.
He accused the CP of portraying himself as accuser, investigator and judge of himself by declaring a guilty verdict on the kwankwayiyya group, adding that the group has no confidence in the committee set up by the CP, hence the had resolve to seek legal redress to get justice at all means.
A claim that the police rescued the key members of keankwasiyya group was also described as blunted lie, saying many of the prominent members were rescued by hood Samaritan who he identified as Aminu Dabo, the former NPA managing director. Among also noted that no single person was invited outside Kano as claimed by the Co.
The group also accused the CP of querying APC lawmakers in Kano for attending the party’s zonal meeting in Katrina, adding that the CP also attempted to stop the group from conducting mass wedding and other activities in the state, saying regardless of his mission, no amount of intimidation will prevent the group from achieving it’s aims in the state.
He threatened that the CP Rabiu will never escape the wrath of the law, adding that the face off between the kwankwanyiya and Gandujiya groups will not prevent the party from winning any the 2019 election in the state.
