The Kogi State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has commiserated with Governor Ahmed Ododo on the demise of his father, Momohsanni Usman Ododo, who passed away on Monday at the age of 83.
In a statement signed by Kingsley Ogga and Adaji Udale, ADC Chairman and Secretary, respectively, a copy of which was given to the BusinessDay in Abuja on Thursday, the ADC urged the governor to ” take solace in the fact that his father lived a very impactful life as can be attested to by his numerous contributions to humanity while alive.”
According to the party, “We appreciate what it feels like to lose a father, especially when one is in a position and the wise counsel of such a departed head of family will be most required.
The party added “Who are we to question God, who has the power to give and take.
“We are urging the governor of our dear state to brace up and take solace in the fact that his father lived a very impactful life.
The party joined the ” family members and well wishers to pray that God grants the departed Aljannah Firdaus and give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.”
