Jacky Hathiramani, CEO Kia Motors Nigeria, has affirmed that the Kia EV5, an electric SUV built with cutting-edge technology, is a product of its futuristic edge and Nigeria’s first initiative.
Hathiramani commended President Bola Tinubu’s administration for the Nigeria First initiative and described it as a step in the right direction for industrial growth, environmental sustainability, and national pride.
According to him, KIA took the bold step of launching its local vehicle assembly operations over nine years ago.
“Today, we are not just assembling vehicles, we are leading the charge in Nigeria’s shift towards Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Electric Vehicles (EVs) for a sustainable future.
“In a move to make new vehicles more accessible to our Nigerian customers, our vehicle financing scheme in partnership with Access Bank, is giving millions of Nigerian individuals and businesses access to purchase KIA vehicles, especially our ever-dependable KIA RIO, through flexible and affordable payment plans,” Hathiramani said.
He stated that as the automotive landscape continues to evolve, KIA Motors Nigeria remains at the forefront, driven by bold vision, global standards, and local impact.
“KIA’s ongoing efforts highlight her commitment to delivering world-class vehicles while supporting Nigeria’s economic and environmental goals,” Hathiramani said.
