Dikko Umaru Radda, the governor of Katsina was involved in a minor road accident Sunday, along the Daura – Katsina Highway.
Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, chief press secretary to the Governor, made this disclosure in a statement, indicating also that the governor did not sustain any serious injury.
“We are pleased to confirm that the Governor is in good health and stable condition, with no serious injuries sustained,” Mohammed said.
“Governor Radda remains in high spirits and expresses his gratitude to Almighty Allah for His protection, as well as Katsina citizens and well-wishers for their prayers and concern.”
The statement noted that the Governor has expressed deep appreciation to the people of Katsina State and well-wishers across the nation for their prayers and concern following a recent minor road incident along the Daura–Katsina road.

In a short live video broadcast to the people of the state, by Radda on Sunday at his residence after undergoing preliminary observations, he was seen in healthy in appearance.
“Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim. Dear brothers and sisters of Katsina state and beyond, we are deeply grateful for all your prayers and concern. By the will of Allah, we were tested with a car accident—but Alhamdulillah, we came out safe and unharmed,” he said in the video.
The Governor also stated that he’s currently under observation regarding his health, just to make sure everything is fine, and by His grace, he is doing well.
He further clarified: “I’m pleased to confirm that I remain in good health and high spirits.”
“Once again, thank you for your heartfelt prayers. Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullah.”
