Kano State Government has reiterated committement to partnering European Union (EU) on education, renewal energy and other areas of human development for positive progression of the State.
A statement issued by Sanusi Bature, Governor’s Spokesperson, in Kano, stated that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf made it known when he received the EU Ambassador to Nigeria and ECOWAS.
The governor was said to have expressed gratitude for the choice of Kano State to the EU delegation, which prompted the selection the State as the location for the ‘ Study Europe Fair in Africa’, a gesture that demonstrated the Union’s confidence in the State’s potentials and commitment to development.

He harped on the need to continue to work together to strengthen educational development drive and the need to provide formidable power for industries and general economic well-being of the State.
Governor Abba Yusuf used the opportunity to dwell extensively on the feats achieved by the present Administration in the State under his stewardship in the last two years in various facets of development.
He also solicited the support of the European Union in the implementation of actualisation of the State development blueprint.
Earlier, Gautier Mignot, EU Ambassador to Nigeria and ECOWAS, said that the delegation decided to explore ways of collaboration in the areas of education, digital economy and other areas of keen interests.
He added that part of his team’s engagements in Kano would include visit to past and on-going projects on digital economy executed by EU and discussions with relevant stakeholders aimed at moulding young people for prosperous future.
