..To attract over 33,000 worshipers
The 2025 annual convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses will explore the meaning of sincere reverence and worship, the religious organisation says.
“This year’s convention theme is intended to bring clarity to many people who are searching for hope,” Jahswill Stephen, spokesman for Jehovah’s Witnesses, said in a statement.
According to him, each year, the Witnesses present a free three-day program to inspire communities and boost the local economy.
The 3-day program, which focuses on pure worship, is expected to attract over 33,000 worshipers to the Assembly Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Bogije, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.

The convention, which is free to attend, will be held every weekend between 8:20 a.m. and 3:50 p.m., with a one-hour and 20-minute lunch break each day, is scheduled for the Weekends of June 6 to August 31, 2025.
“We look forward to another spiritually uplifting time as we convene once again to bring this exciting program to Lekki,” he stated.
According to Stephen, Jehovah’s Witnesses are inviting the public to their annual global convention series, which has the theme ‘Pure Worship.’
He disclosed that the open invitation is on the realisation that many within the local communities are concerned about matters of faith and spirituality.
“All in attendance, it is hoped, would leave feeling refreshed and re-energised with the knowledge of what worship is all about and how this can help them cope with today’s challenges,” Stephen stated.
He stated that the Witnesses are one of the largest non-profit convention organisations in the world and hope to fuel the local economy over the course of 11 weekends, beginning June 6, 2025.

According to him, the ‘Pure Worship’ convention will present Bible-based videos, discourses and interviews on topics such as: What is pure worship? Take these things away from here, and do you worship what you know?
He disclosed that Saturday’s highlight is a baptism of local candidates. According to him, many attendees are also looking forward to Episode two of “The Good News According to Jesus.”
He stated that the 18-episode video series is a comprehensive look at the life and ministry of Jesus Christ based solely on the Gospel accounts.
According to him, episode one premiered as a special feature at last year’s convention series. Episode 2 will be shown in two parts on Friday and Saturday.
