The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2016 to Jean Pierre Sauvage, James Fraser Stoddart, Bernard Feringa for the design and synthesis of molecular machine.
They have developed molecules with controllable movements, which can perform a task when energy is added.
Notably, Afred Nobel the founder of the Nobel Prize was a chemist and engineer himself, inventing the dynamite and patenting this invention in 1867.
