At the recently concluded Digital Professional Fair 2025, one of the most engaging keynote sessions came from Ameen Oyindamola, a Nigerian talent manager and creative strategist, who urged young professionals in the creative industry to focus on relationships, integrity and consistency as the foundation for sustainable careers.
Speaking on the theme “Building Strategic Relationships in the Creative Industry,” Oyindamola noted that while talent may open doors, long-term success depends on character and positioning.
“Your name travels faster than your work. Integrity is the only currency that never loses value,” he told the audience of young professionals, stressing that the creative industry rewards credibility as much as it does skill.
Drawing from his career, he explained that collaboration, mentorship and visibility in digital spaces are vital to scaling Africa’s creative economy globally. He also urged participants to embrace humility and service, describing them as values that anchor growth in a fast-changing and competitive market.
Ameen’s words carried weight not only because of their relevance, but also because of his professional journey. A graduate of Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, where he studied Accounting, he has built a career that merges business discipline with creative innovation.
His work in talent management has seen him oversee the career of rap icon Reminisce, contributing to two Billboard-charting albums, and he currently manages Krizbeatz, one of Africa’s most prominent producers.
Beyond management, his versatility extends to filmmaking and content creation. Having trained at New York University, he has directed music videos, produced podcasts, and developed digital projects aimed at both African and international audiences. For him, storytelling is a tool that cuts across platforms and continues to define how African creativity is consumed globally.
His keynote reflected a wider conversation at the fair on the role of professionalism in the growth of Africa’s creative sector. While Nigerian music, film and digital content are increasingly gaining global recognition, industry stakeholders acknowledge that sustainable growth depends on structure, partnerships and ethical standards.
“It is no longer enough to just be visible,” he said. “The question is: how are you positioned, and what value do you bring to the table?”
For many attendees, the session was more than motivational; it provided a roadmap for navigating an industry that is at once full of opportunity and marked by volatility. Several participants described his approach as practical, rooted in real industry experience, and tailored to the realities of young creatives seeking longevity.
The Digital Professional Fair 2025 brought together thousands of digital professionals across technology, media and creative industries to discuss emerging trends and strategies. Ameen’s session stood out for its focus on values, professionalism and collaboration as the drivers of Africa’s global competitiveness in the creative economy.
As Africa’s entertainment and digital sectors continue to grow, figures like Ameen Oyindamola represent the blend of business sense and creative vision needed to move the industry forward. His work demonstrates that the future belongs to those who combine talent with strategy, relationships with authenticity, and creativity with structure.
For young creatives, his message was clear: success is not just about being gifted, but about being grounded, consistent and positioned for impact.
