Nkechi Ikpeazu, wife of the Governor of Abia State,will host the wives of governors of Southern Nigeria comprising South East, South West and South South beginning from February 15 to 17, 2017.
A statement from the Office of Abia First Lady said the 4th quarterly meeting, which would hold at the International Conference Centre, Umuahia, would be at the instance of the Southern Governors’ Forum where the first ladies would be expected to brainstorm on issues relating to women development, upliftment of the girl-child and how to support the Governors of Southern Nigeria to develop the nation and make Nigeria one unified country of love and hope.
According to the statement, the highlights of the three-day event include a courtesy call on the Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, series of high-powered meetings, and the empowerment of hundreds of indigent women in Abia.
