Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Muhammed Abdulkadir has been applauded by the residents of Dagu Community in Warji Local Government Area for constructing culverts which stopped flooding in the area.
One of the residents of Dagu community, Zubairu Muhammad made this known while speaking to newsmen during a facility tour in the area.
He noted that the construction of culverts by the governor averted excessive flooding that would have resulted to loss of lives and destruction of valuable properties.

Muhammad said that they have not been finding it easy during raining season, except this year that they didn’t record any flooding again.
He further said that before now, it was difficult to cross to neighboring communities.
According to him if not because of the culverts construction, their community would have been flushed out by the heavy rain fall.
Muhammad expressed their appreciation to Governor Bala for coming to their aid by constructing them with good culverts which really stopped erosion in the community.

He also begged the state governor to construct more culverts in order to prevent flood from coming close to their houses.
On his part, the District Head of Warji, Ibrahim Isma’il appreciated the governor for organizing facility tour to checkmate all government projects across the 20 local government areas that formed the state.
The district head said that they would not and never forget the good work of human and infrastructural development that the governor placed in Warji local government.
