The federal government through the ministry of Power, Works, & Housing said it paid N47 billion to 62 contractors working on 147 sites.
Babatunde Raji Fashola disclosed this at the ongoing Road Construction Summit organized by BusinessDay Media.
According to the minister, the money to ensure that work do not stop at the construction sites located across the nation.
He also said the government is working on a plan that will encourage group of individuals to fund infrastructure projects in the country.
“We are looking at an amendment that encourages a group of people to come together and fund infrastructure,” he said.
