The Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) has announced temporary traffic diversions along a section of the Inner Southern Expressway (ISEX) to facilitate the construction of an interchange bridge, which commenced Wednesday.
In a statement, Richard Dauda, Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), disclosed this in Abuja.
The diversion affects the stretch of road from Herbert Macaulay Way, just past the Abuja International Conference Centre (AICC), to the junction near the National Defence College, including the Herbert Macaulay Way/Moshood Abiola Road intersection.
According to the administration, traffic will now be redirected through Zakaria Maimalari Street, passing in front of the Abuja Environmental Protection Board, with Chelsea Hotel on one side and Access Bank on the other.

Vehicles will then proceed to Moshood Abiola Road and reconnect with Herbert Macaulay Way near the Abuja International Conference Centre (AICC).
He added that personnel from the DRTS, police, and FRSC will be deployed to manage the new traffic flow.
The FCDA expressed regret over any inconvenience caused and appealed for public cooperation throughout the duration of the project.
He assured that access to all properties along the route will remain open.
