Everton manager David Moyes, says the Toffees is finding it difficult to attract top talents because of lack of European football.
“If you have European football you attract a different level of player, you are more attractive.
“We have got to build an awful lot of trust with players and maybe agents to show we are a club moving in the right direction,” Moyes said in his pre-match press conference ahead of Sunday’s fixture against Brighton.

The Toffees on Friday agreed a £42m deal to sign 19-year old Southampton winger Tyler Dibling, in a deal that includes £6m in add-ons and a 20 percent sell-on clause.
The teenager made 33 appearances in the Premier League for Saints last season and was eager to explore a return to the top flight this summer.
The Toffees have been quiet in the transfer market following the arrivals of Thierno Barry, Jack Grealish, Mark Travers, Tom King, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Adam Aznou to Everton.
However, Dibling looks set to become Moyes’ seventh signing of the summer transfer and could be unveiled to Everton faithful today.
Moyes also admitted that the Toffees have struggled to spend money this summer after missing out on several key targets. “We have money to spend and we are trying to spend it.
“It is not we don’t have the money to spend, we do have, but we’re finding it very difficult to spend the money at the moment,” Moyes said.
According to him, the Toffees might have to adjust its transfer policies at the moment in signing quality players to strengthen the squad. “We’ve really gone for some top players but unfortunately we’ve not been able to get them.
“So we might be finding ourselves coming down the ladder to find players because we are short on numbers generally,” he said.
According to him, the management of the club has been supportive in the transfer market but lack of European football is preventing Everton from securing a lot of their targets.
“I think our ownership have come in and helped us and they will give us a chance to spend more money but I believe the better players want European football, most of them or a lot of them do.”
