France captain Kylian Mbappe is seeking €263million from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) as their long-running contractual dispute reached a Paris labour court on Monday, while the club is counter-claiming €240million from the forward.
The 26-year-old Real Madrid star is demanding damages that include €55m in unpaid wages, alleging mistreatment and a breach of contract during his final year at PSG.
PSG, meanwhile, argue they are owed compensation for Mbappe’s refusal to accept a €300m move to Saudi club Al-Hilal in 2023, a transfer that ultimately collapsed before he joined Real Madrid on a free transfer the following summer.

A ruling from the tribunal is not expected for several weeks. The dispute dates back to July 2023, when Mbappe rejected the Saudi Pro League move and declined to sign a contract extension.
PSG subsequently excluded him from their pre-season tour of Asia and left him out of their opening league match before later reintegrating him.
PSG claim Mbappe agreed to forfeit part of his end-of-contract payments to protect the club’s finances, an assertion his representatives have dismissed as “fantasy”, insisting the striker is still owed outstanding wages and bonuses.
Mbappe spent seven seasons at PSG from 2017 to 2024, scoring 256 goals in 308 appearances and winning 15 trophies. He joined Real Madrid last summer, where he earns a reported €30m per year.
