Those in leadership positions in the country have been called upon to be more transparent in all their dealings with their followers in order to create proper leaders-followers synergy to deliver dividends of good governance to the society. Apostle Joseph Agboli and Pastor Blessings Agboli, senior pastors of The Victorious Army Ministries International, made this call at a press conference to announce the forthcoming Bethel Victory Convention 2017 tagged ‘God of Wonders’.
Bethel Victory Convention, according to Apostle Agboli, is the period when the church focuses on caring and mentorship. He added that the 2017 convention of the church is a time for the congregation and participants to experience the wonder-working powers of God in their lives and endeavours.
“Once they can connect with God in faith, they will see God working wonders in their lives,” he said at the press conference held at the church’s headquarters in Lagos. In her remarks, Pastor Blessings Agboli said the convention is an avenue to develop God’s people for the ministry’s work as they evangelize the world to grow the kingdom of Christ here on earth.
“Success without a successor is a failure; you need to bring more people as you grow. That is one charge that I want to see in the body of Christ, that ministry is a kingdom of Christ, not a one-man charge. We are all talking about the kingdom, so no man should be an island,” she stated. Speaking on the ongoing Reinhard Bonnke’s farewell crusade in Nigeria, she said, “What he has come to do is a wakeup call to the body of Christ in Nigeria to unite the church. Ministry is not about one man, but one man can bring the change.”
The week-long convention will commence with an open session on Tuesday, 21 November and will feature morning glory encounter, evening word/miracle, and a thanksgiving service on Sunday, 26 November to round off the convention. The 2017 Bethel Victory Convention will feature other pastors like Matthew Ashimolowo, Abel Damina, Joshua Talena, Ntia Ntia, and Paul Thompson Odola for the word impartation. Chinyere Udoma, Joe Praise, Kingsley Ike, Big Bolaji, Steve Crown and Kevin Sapp will minister in songs and worship.
