The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has fixed December 19, 2014, to put the new commemorative N100 into circulation.
This is contained in “Countdown Calendar of The New Commemorative N100 Banknote” a publication on activities for the launch of the new banknote released by the bank in Abuja.
The bank said the circulation of the banknote, unveiled by President Goodluck Jonathan on Nov. 12, would be preceded by the launch of “Partnership Programme aimed at Banknote Equipment Manufacturers and other Machine Suppliers” on Wednesday.
The Wednesday activity, according to the bank, is to enable the manufacturers and suppliers to adapt machines and authentication devices for the new banknotes.

The bank added that a “live” film show to check the new banknote would be aired on CBN YouTube.
