The Premier League champion are staring at the door of relegation this season as the reward towards their provocative start. Chelsea have played 11 league games, lost 6 and manage to win 3 matches, 14 points behind league leaders Manchester City.
Blues owner, Roman Abramovich, is furious at the club present performances at this stage for his club to sit bottom at 15th position in the league, If things continue to get worsens, it is likely the club manager Jose Mourinho might be fired before the end of November.
The Portuguese tactician has been under severe pressure since the start of the season due to his side incompetence to be in the top four in the league table, these as frustrated him to sent off the pitch.
The Football Association on slammed Mourinho with one-match stadium suspension with £40,000 fine, having been sent off during his team 2-1 defeat at Boleyn Ground.
Chelsea’s poor start to the Premier League campaign has already dashed their hope of retaining the title with a 14-point gap to the top of the table. And just last week they also lost their grip on the Capital One Cup when they lost to Stoke City.
The Premier league holder suffered their sixth Premier League defeat of the season last Saturday losing 3-1 at home to Liverpool. As well as constant speculation over Mourinho’s future, there have been several media stories claiming that there is a players’ revolt against the Portuguese’s management. It is speculated that players are losing interest in him.
Report had it “Mourinho is facing Cesc Fabragas revolt over his style of play and with other members of the squad reported unhappy at the club at the moment, playing under Mourinho”.
Cesc Fabregas has responded to the out-going rumor that he is the player leading the revolt against Jose Mourinho “I am exceedingly happy playing for the club and having an excellent relationship with the club manager.
Fabregas has being grappling for form this season, after playing a vital role in the club title success last year with 19 premier league goals but now has manage only one assist in his 11 league appearances.
John Terry, whose relationship with Mourinho has been questioned after being dropped earlier in the season, also rubbished talk of the squad not being behind their manager, and particularly of any individual no longer fighting for the cause.
“In my whole career I’ve never heard a player come out with those words. It’s ridiculous I have to sit here and talk about it. I’ve seen players’ faces with the disappointment after results, the feeling we’ve let the club and the manager and the fans down.
“The player wouldn’t be let out of the dressing room, let’s be honest. It wouldn’t go down too well, would it?”
“We might be at our bad times but we are coming back to our great form.
“I can reassure you right now the players are 100% behind the manager,” Chelsea captain John Terry said.
Chelsea will be aiming to get a vital and booster win when they travelled to Stoke just two weeks after been dumped out of the Capital One Cup by the Potters.
But Stoke is notoriously one of the trickiest side in the Premier League – and will want to add to Chelsea’s nightmares.
But If Chelsea fail to get a win against Stoke City on Saturday, it’ll be the first time the club will ever lost seven of their opening 12 matches in their most outstanding season since 1978-79, a season that they were relegated with 27 loses and the club manage to win 5 matches, Danny Blanch flower who was the club manager.
For any positive change to take place in the team, the club manager needs to urgently settle the internal rancor in the dressing room, else, the angels in the heaven of relegation arena will welcome Chelsea.
