ChamsAccess, Nigeria’s leading fintech platform, has officially launched its services in Sierra Leone, marking its first expansion outside Nigeria.
At the beginning of Q1, 2025, Olayemi Odufeso, managing director of ChamsAccess Ltd, outlined the company’s strategic direction, and at the core of them all, was the plan to expand beyond the shores of Nigeria.
Staying true to this vision, ChamsAccess launched its first regional collaboration in Q1 through the ChamsAccess x Sierra Leone Consortium.
The project, which centers on biometric identification and digital identity systems, is aimed at enhancing seamless operations across critical sectors, including identity management, pension enrollment and updates. It is a step towards strengthening institutional frameworks, improving service delivery, and supporting broader socioeconomic development in the region.
Speaking on the partnership on Monday, 14th April, Uche Okorie, the divisional head of business operations affirmed that the move aligns with the company’s core values of innovation, agility, and excellence.
“This is just the first of many,” he noted. “We’re ready to take our future-thinking solutions into other African markets.”
