The Bosch Group a leading global supplier of technology and services represented in 150 countries is set to open a Nigerian office.
Having been active in Nigeria for more than 80 years via distributors and agents, Bosch now intends to increase its business in the country and also provide significant value add to the Nigerian economy and population: by being instrumental in building an automotive industry, providing machinery for modern food and pharmaceutical industries as well as security and thermo technology systems through to, e. g., specifying hydraulic applications (for mining industry, oil platforms, automotive assembly plants or other).
“Effective 28 April 2014, Bosch has founded Robert Bosch Nigeria Ltd., located in Lagos, Nigeria, in order to strengthen our presence on the ground,” said Ghislain Noumbessy, Managing Director Robert Bosch Limited.
The official office opening ceremony will take place on 9 June 2015, from 10:30am until 2:30pm, at the Intercontinental Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Several of Bosch’s divisions (Automotive Aftermarket, Power Tools, Drive & Control, Packaging Technology, Security Technology and Thermo Technology) will present their product and service portfolio for Nigeria and the training that the firm would propose to offer to engineers and specialists in Nigeria, to existing and future Nigerian customers, the broader Nigerian business community and media.
The event will bring together highranking senior Nigerian officials, Bosch representatives, potential future customers of all the divisions, as well as interested European and Nigerian industry representatives.
