Beta Glass Plc, a leading manufacturer of glass packaging in West and Central Africa, has announced changes to its board, with four directors stepping down and four new members joining as the company positions itself for its next phase of growth.
The company said Emmanouil Metaxakis, Vassilis Kararizos, Serge Joris and Gagik Apkarian have departed from its Board of Directors after years of service during which they provided strategic guidance to the company.
In a statement, the board expressed appreciation for their contributions, noting that their leadership had been instrumental in supporting the company’s expansion and operational development.
“Beta Glass expresses its sincere gratitude for their dedicated service and strategic guidance, which have been instrumental to the company’s growth.”
To strengthen governance and bring new perspectives to its operations, the glass container manufacturer has appointed four new non-executive directors to its board, subject to shareholder ratification at its Annual General Meeting scheduled for June 26, 2026.
The new directors are Nitin Kaul, Olusola Carrena, Bolaji Olatunbosun Osunsanya and Boye Olusanya.
According to the statement, Kaul brings more than 25 years of international experience in strategy, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and business transformation across developed and emerging markets.
He is currently a partner in portfolio operations and a member of the executive committee at Helios Investment Partners, a private equity firm focused on Africa.
Carrena, a Chartered Financial Analyst, has more than 23 years of experience in investment banking, private equity and corporate finance across Africa.
She currently serves as Managing Director for Nigeria on the investment team at Helios Investment Partners, where she oversees deal origination, execution, exits and portfolio management across sectors.
Osunsanya joins the board with more than 35 years of experience spanning the energy, finance and infrastructure sectors. He previously served as group chief executive of Axxela Ltd., where he led strategic restructuring and value growth initiatives.
Osunsanya has also served on the boards of several publicly listed and private companies, providing oversight in areas including strategy, audit, risk management and corporate governance.
