Beauty and Bride Nigeria, a brand under Eftinzz Events, has marked its fifth year anniversary by recounting its impact operating in Africa’s biggest economy within the period.
The organisation also unveiled its BAB 1,000 project targeted at empowering women entrepreneurs and STEM in the next five years.
Francisca Onyinye Ogunlade, founder of Beauty &Bride said the brand was established to be a platform for events and creative businesses to get seen, known, and get paid.
Ogunlade recounted that the brand had her first major event with an exhibition on July 16, 2017, in Akure, Ondo State, as the first event and wedding exhibition in South-West Nigeria outside Lagos.

“In the last five years, apart from registering the brand as a trademark in Nigeria, we have impacted over 150 businesses directly through our exhibitions, hosted three master-classes for small and medium enterprises,” she said in a statement.
“We also held the Beauty and Bride Events Business Conference in 2020, reaching over 2400 people across three continents and has successfully published three editions of Beauty and Bride Magazine,” she added.
Speaking on the brand’s recent projects, Ogunlade said the Beauty and Bride Industry and Excellence Award which was held in the International culture and events center, Akure on May 16 2021 was aimed at recognizing events businesses and individuals in the society who are excelling in their works and impacting lives.
“We held the first “Face of Beauty and Bride Pageant” with the winner – Queen Bunmi Babalola going home with a star prize of a Peugeot 206 saloon car,” she noted.
Sharing plans for the next five years, BAB founder said she sees the brand diving into other related sectors.
“The team also has the vision to empower 1,000 young women in entrepreneurship and STEM in the next 5 years with the BAB1000 Project,” she said.
“We are also opening the brand for collaborations both within and outside the country.”
