There is calm in Bayelsa State ahead Saturday’s governorship election as all stakeholders prepare for the election.
Banks shut their doors about noon while other business outlets and markets were open with consumers stocking up foodstuff in what looked like frantic buying.

Prices of staple foods like rice and garri had gone up prior to today as a ‘custard’ of rice sold for about N2,000 while that of garri costs about N500.
Most buyers told our correspondent that they wanted to be on the safe side in the event of violent confrontation tomorrow.
