The All Progressives Congress (APC) has directed the immediate swearing-in and inauguration of all duly elected ward, local government and state executive committee members who emerged from the party’s 2026 congresses.
In a statement on Tuesday by Felix Morka, its National Publicity Secretary, the party said the inauguration should take place today (Tuesday) or shortly thereafter, in line with the relevant provisions of the party’s constitution.
The APC commended members, stakeholders, and supporters for the peaceful conduct of the congresses across the country, describing the exercise as orderly and successful.
The party also congratulated all newly elected executive committee members and urged them to remain committed to strengthening the party’s structures at all levels.
According to the statement, the swearing-in marks the formal commencement of their responsibilities in advancing the party’s programmes and consolidating its presence nationwide.
