Stakeholders in retail development and management will be gathering for a one-day seminar to be organized by Alphamead Facilities and Management Services Limited, to brainstorm on the country’s retail sector.
The company, which is Nigeria’s leading facility management company, will be hosting the event in partnership with Cluttons LLP, a limited liability partnership of chartered surveyors based in the United Kingdom.
A statement from the company made available to BusinessDay says the event already slated for Tuesday, Fedruary 2, 2014 in Lagos will be offering a free one-on-one management consultancy for all levels of retail projects in Nigeria.
Planned with the theme, ‘Adopting Global Best Practices For Retail Centre Development and Management In Nigeria’, the seminar is also geared towards creating an avenue for financiers, current and potential mall owners, developers and retail managers to share their experiences.
“The event will offer ample opportunity for grooming in the areas of offering consultancy services and managing retail centres based on successful models in Europe and the United Arab Emirates (Dubai)”, the statement said.
The statement explains that the seminar is being put together in response to growing interests (both local and foreign) in Nigerian retail market and estate management sectors, adding that stakeholders in the retail sector, who have been selected to attend the event, will have the opportunity of pro bono private consultancy sessions with the Cluttons LLP team.
“This exclusive forum being put together by AMFacilities, once again, reiterates the company’s stance on entrenching global best practice in Africa’s facility and real estate asset management sectors”, the statement noted.
