Trent Alexander-Arnold refused to dismiss speculation linking him with a summer move to Real Madrid after scoring the decisive goal in Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Leicester City on Sunday.
The England right-back made his return from a five-week injury layoff and netted the only goal of the game with a stunning strike that moved the Reds within one win of claiming their second Premier League title in 35 years.

While key teammates Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk have both signed new contracts in recent weeks, there has been no progress on a contract extension for the 25-year-old at his boyhood club.
“I’ve said all season, I’m not going to speak on my situation,” Alexander-Arnold told Sky Sports in a post-match conference.
“I’m not going to go into details, but these days, like today, are always special.
Scoring goals, playing, winning games, and being close to winning titles, as well as being in title races, are special moments that will be with me forever, and I’m glad to be a part of them.”
Title within reach for Liverpool
Liverpool last won the Premier League during the COVID-hit 2019/20 season and celebrated behind closed doors. This time, the Reds could clinch the title in front of a packed Anfield, making the moment even more meaningful.
Should Arsenal drop points against Crystal Palace on Wednesday, Arne Slot’s side would be in a position to secure the title next Sunday at home against Tottenham Hotspur.
“It’s one win away now, very close, and to do it, especially with fans here, is a very, very special moment,” said Alexander-Arnold.
“To be so close to sealing, for some of us, a second league title and for a lot of us a first league title, especially in front of fans, is very special.”
