The Akwa Ibom State Governor has approved a minor reshuffling of the State Executive Council.
In a release signed by the Secretary to the state government, Enobong Uwah, the development is aimed at strengthening the state Executive Council and aligning it more effectively with the implementation of the ARISE agenda.
In the new postings, Captain Iniobong Ekong has been redeployed from Lands and Town Planning to the Ministry of Trade and Investment, while Ubong Inyang, who was in the Trade and Investment Ministry, is posted to Lands and Town Planning.
According to the release, the reshuffle takes immediate effect.
In a related development, the state has revoked all land allocation from May 2023 to date.
The directive was given by the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Uko Udom SAN, today, Monday, August 2025.
As of press time, it was not clear whether the reshuffling was connected to the earlier revocation by the state government.
