The weekly meeting of the Federal Executive Council FEC is this week focusing its attention on the implementation of the 2019 budget with a focus on the development of infrastructure, ahead of the Yuletide season
The meeting is being presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, standing in for President Muhammadu Buhari who is currently on a private visit to the United Kingdom.
BusinessDay gathered from sources close to the cabinet office that infrastructure is topping the agenda as the government makes efforts to give speed to the implementation of the 2019 budget which is likely to terminate by December, as government mulls to kick start the January to December budget cycle from January 2020.
