Ahmadu Fintiri, the governor of Adamawa State, has defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), along with all his cabinet members.
In a statewide broadcast on Friday, the governor announced that he had joined the party, alongside members of his cabinet and officials of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

Fintiri said the decision was taken in the developmental interest of the people of Adamawa.
According to the source, he immediately departed for Abuja to meet with All Progressives Congress national leaders.
