The Abia State Government (ABSG) has entered into an understanding with the Vega Growing Global Enterprise for the Turkey-Abia International Investment Summit and Exhibition.
The summit and exhibition, which would be taking place at the International Conference Centre, Umuahia, from November 25 to 27, 2025, would provide an opportunity for international and local investors to explore the possibilities in the state and as a preferred investment destination.
Green Amakwe, Special Adviser to the Governor on Investment Promotion and Public-Private Partnership, while speaking during the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Government House Umuahia, said that the state would work tirelessly with the Vega Global Growing Enterprise to host a successful investment summit in Umuahia.
Amakwe, who is also the chairman, Steering Committee for Turkey-Abia Investment Summit/Product Exhibition 2025, assured of the readiness of the Governor Alex Otti-led administration to host the summit.

He stated that the government was committed to creating favourable investment environment for the people of the state and investors who would like to identify with Abia.
The special adviser, recalled that the committee was inaugurated on June 4, 2025, and given the assignment to cooperate with Turkey through the Vega Growing Global Enterprise as a consultant to hosting the summit.
He noted that the MoU signing was significant as it would enable the committee to achieve the expected results.
“Having drawn the roadmap through the MoU that has just been signed, I expect that people will put their ideas here towards invitation, towards what they think will make this event a success,”Amakwe stated.
Kingsley Nwokocha, a member of the committee and Commissioner for Trade and Commerce, in his contribution, said that the MoU was the beginning of the journey of the investment summit.
He emphasized on the need for members to work diligently to make the programme successful.
“This MoU is the beginning of the journey of this Turkey-Abia Investment Promotion coming in November. Our works are cut out for us.
“We need to work diligently to make sure that this investment summit is successful,” Nwokocha stated.
Eniola Ojajuni, managing director, VEGA Growing Global Enterprise, in a vote of thanks, appreciated the Abia State Government for the opportunity given to them to work together as partners.
Ojajun, who described Abia State as the next investment hub in the South East, said that his organisation was poised to enhance investment drive of the state.
He added that the organisation was committed to ensuring the successful hosting of the investment summit.
