Abia signs MoU to revamp Ndi Oji rubber plantation
The Abia State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Great Nobles Integrated Limited, for the management and development of Ndi Oji Abam Rubber Estate in Arochukwu Local Government Area of the State.
The move is aimed at revamping the moribund rubber plantation, create jobs and increase the internally generated revenue (IGR) of the State, Uzo Azubuike, commissioner for Agriculture, Abia State, who signed on behalf of the State Government explained that the present administration in the State is committed to the revamping and development of all Government owned Estates, for the benefit of all.
He charged the investor to develop the underdeveloped areas of the plantation within the speculated time.
Azubuike also urged the investor to ensure that the welfare of the host community is paramount and assured them of a conducive working environment.
Acho Nwakanma, who represented Noble Integrated Limited thanked Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and the Ministry of Agriculture for the great opportunity to develop the Estate and assured the readiness of the firm to revitalise the rubber estate for the benefit of Ndi Abia.
