Johnson Okebaram Onuigbo has led the Abia PDP executives, to a condolence visit to Rt. Hon. Eric Acho Nwakanma, a former deputy governor of the state, over the demise of his mother.
Speaking at Nwakanma’s residence in Obingwa Local Government Area of the state, Okebaram, chairman of the party, pointed out that God had designed that everyone would die someday, “but it is our prayers that we will grow old just like Mama before dying”.He noted that the death of a loved one, especially mothers, no matter the age, was usually painful as the bereaved would always
remember something very important/memorable about her.

His words: “We came to console you over the demise of your mother. I want to inform you that God called her to eternal rest; your mother is a blessed woman who died at a ripe age”.
Also speaking during the visit, Ukpai Agwu Ukpa, deputy chief of staff, Office of the Governor, said it was a very good omen for the former Deputy Governor to be alive, hale and hearty and stand in a better position to bury his mother.
Responding, the bereaved, Nwakanma, expressed gratitude to God that his late mother lived a fulfilled life while on earth.
He said: “I am consoled and confident that my mother is happy wherever she is now. We owe her one thing and that thing is to give her a befitting burial. We chose 23rd November for her interment”.
