Aliyu Umar Yusuf, speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, recently, temporarily vacated his official seat for Adetolani Adekanmbi, a 12-year-old pupil aspiring to be a parliamentarian in the future.
Adekanmbi was on a visit to the State Assembly Chambers in Lokoja and was accompanied by her parents and siblings to the office of the Speaker and revealed that she aspired to be a lawmaker in the future.

Yusuf encouraged the female child not to give up on her dreams, adding that he could see a lot of potential in her and that she would make a good parliamentarian in the future.
He also advised children not to give up on their dreams, while emphasising the need for parents to assist their children to become great leaders who would take society to greater heights.

Seyi Bello, the member representing Kabba/Bunu State constituency, and other members of the Assembly were present during the visit.
