Angélique Kidjo has announced her 19th studio album, Hope!!, which features collaborations with Davido, Ayra Starr, and The Cavemen. The album is set for release on April 24, 2026.
The album features multiple international and African artists, including Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers, Quavo, Charlie Wilson, Fally Ipupa, Diamond Platnumz, PJ Morton, IZA, Florent Pagny, Dadju, and the Soweto Gospel Choir.
Hope!! is a 14-track album dedicated to Kidjo’s mother, Yvonne, who passed away five years ago. Kidjo described the project as reflecting the message of hope she received from her mother. She said the album was five years in the making and includes contributions from artists she has previously collaborated with, such as Davido. Their earlier work includes Kidjo’s song “Joy” and Davido’s track “Na Money” from his 2023 album Timeless.
The album will be released on April 24, 2026. Kidjo announced the album on Wednesday via a post on Instagram, where she shared details about the artists involved and the dedication to her late mother.
The announcement was shared on Kidjo’s Instagram page. The album will be available on digital platforms worldwide.
Kidjo stated that the album is a personal project, honoring her mother and sharing a message of hope. She also highlighted that the project involved collaborations with both African and international artists to bring a diverse sound to the album. Hope!! follows her 2021 release Mother Nature, which won a Grammy Award for Best Global Music Album.
The announcement shows Kidjo continuing her work mixing both West African music with global sounds, including R&B, funk, jazz, and Latin music. Fans can pre-order the album and follow updates through Kidjo’s official channels.
