Nigeria’s compact SUV segment is becoming increasingly competitive, with new entrants targeting buyers seeking a balance between design, technology, and affordability.
One of the latest models emerging to gain traction is the Jetour Dashing, a five-seater SUV that has moved beyond initial market curiosity following its recent 2025 Car of the Year recognition.
The Dashing enters a segment dominated by established brands, where styling and in-cabin technology have key differentiators.

Visually defined by a wide grille, sculpted body lines, and sleek LED lighting, giving it a road presence that rivals premium crossovers in the category.
The aerodynamic profile and assertive front fascia position it distinctly on both city streets and open highways.
Inside, the SUV delivers a modern cabin, with a panoramic sunroof enhancing the sense of space, while the dashboard is centred around a 15.6-inch touchscreen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, providing seamless connectivity and intuitive control.
Jetour Nigeria stated that the model is available with 1.5-litre and 1.6-litre turbocharged engine options, delivering up to 145kW and 290Nm of torque. Powertrain is delivered through six- or seven-speed dual-clutch transmissions, with outputs reaching up to 197hp, and selectable drive modes including Eco, Normal, and Sport that allow drivers to adapt easily to varying road conditions, while the dual-clutch transmission is aimed at delivering smooth gear changes for daily commuting as well as extended road trips.
“Safety features are comprehensive, as the Dashing comes with front and rear airbags, advanced driver-assistance systems such as automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind-spot detection, and collision alerts. A 360-degree surround-view camera with 2D and 3D displays, supported by a 540-degree parking sensor system, enhances parking and low-speed manoeuvrability.
“Electronic parking brake, auto-hold, and automatic door locking further add to driver confidence. Comfort and convenience features include wireless charging, smart entry, push-button start, remote engine start, and voice command functionality. Automatic climate control with rear air vents and an air purification system addresses cabin comfort, while an eight-speaker surround sound system delivers immersive audio,” the company stated.

Other features include power-adjustable front seats with heating, ventilation, memory, and lumbar support, along with a power tailgate, add a premium touch.
Beyond the vehicle itself, Jetour Nigeria is emphasising after-sales support as it builds its presence in the market. The company stated that it is expanding its service network, with trained technicians, access to genuine spare parts, and structured maintenance plans.
Rolling on 20-inch alloy wheels, the Jetour Dashing blends design, technology, and, as it continues to expand its footprint in Nigeria, the Dashing aims to establish itself as a reference point in the compact SUV segment, combining performance and reliable ownership support at a competitive price.
