Fresh from winning their record 10th consecutive Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title, Nigeria’s Super Falcons are back to club duties, and for many of them, that means shining on some of Europe’s biggest football stages.
The WAFCON crown was a triumph for the country, but as the new 2025/26 season kicks off, the spotlight shifts to where these champions ply their trade week in, week out. A growing number of Super Falcons are now key figures in European clubs, from Turkey to France, Italy, Sweden and England.
Here are seven Super Falcons stars powering European clubs:
Oluwatosin Blessing Demehin

At just 23, Super Falcons defender Oluwatsoin Demehin has become a pillar at Turkish giants Galatasaray. Having first signed in 2024 on a free transfer, she renewed her contract this August for another year. Strong in tackles and composed under pressure, she is expected to anchor Galatasaray’s backline this season.
Shukurat Oladipo

Rising star Shukurat Oladipo, 20, swapped Lagos-based Robo Queens for Italian heavyweights AS Roma Women. Comfortable both in defence and midfield, Oladipo signed a deal that runs until 2027. She left Robo Queens after an extraordinary 178 appearances.
Rasheedat Ajibade

Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade, 25, made headlines this summer when she left Atlético Madrid for French powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Wearing the iconic No. 10 shirt, she joins compatriot Jennifer Echegini as PSG push to reclaim the Ligue 1 Féminine crown they last held in 2021. Known for her pace and leadership, Ajibade is expected to be a game-changer in Paris.
Halimatu Ayinde
Halimatu Ayinde remains a mainstay at Swedish club FC Rosengård. With experience spanning Nigeria, Sweden and the United States, Ayinde brings tactical discipline and control to the middle of the park, qualities that continue to serve both her club and country well.
Jennifer Onyinyechi Echegini

At 24, Jennifer Echegini has been one of the hottest names in European women’s football. After a short but brilliant spell at Juventus, where she scored 10 goals in just 16 matches, she signed a three-year deal with PSG in July. Quick, skilful and with an eye for goal, Echegini is tipped to form a lethal partnership with Ajibade.
Toni Payne

Versatile Nigerian forward Toni Payne swapped Spain for England this summer, joining Everton in the Women’s Super League. After years at Sevilla, where she made her name with crucial goals and consistency, Payne is expected to add attacking flair to Everton’s campaign.
Omorinsola Babajide

Also heading to Italy is Omorinsola Babajide, the 26-year-old who signed a two-year deal with AS Roma after leaving Spain’s UD Tenerife. The former Liverpool and Real Betis winger, now wearing the No. 30 jersey, links up with Oladipo in Rome, adding depth and versatility to the Giallorosse attack.
