…To meet Governors later today
President Bola Tinubu is currently presiding over a meeting of the Federal Executive Council FEC
The meeting which is being attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima and Ministers, BusinessDay gathered, will kickstart the preparations for the 2026 budget amongst others.
The President had before the commencement of the meeting sworn in Nnana Uzokalu, as Commissioner in the National Assembly Service Commission.

The President also led FEC Members to observe a minute silence in honour of Caleb Olubolade, former Minister of Special Duties, who served under former President Goodluck Jonathan.
BusinessDay also gathered that the President will later today meet with members of the National Economic Council NEC.
Details of the agenda were not immediately available as at the time of filing in this report.
The NEC is made up of the 36 state Governors and is Chaired by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
