8BM Freight Systems, a tech-driven logistics company, has launched a fintech platform to drive innovation in secondary schools.
Faridah Mamman, director of corporate services at 8BM Freight, described the launch as more than a physical expansion. She called it a purposeful step toward job creation and human capital development.
She addressed students from various secondary schools as “the heartbeat of the event,” noting that 8BM’s corporate social initiatives aim to plant seeds of innovation, discipline, and ambition.
She further affirmed the company’s belief, stating that success is measured by the positive impact it creates, even as she called on educators, institutions, and public leaders to collaborate in building a future where logistics and education drive shared progress.
During the unveiling of the digital fintech platform, the company officially launched its new corporate services office in Osogbo.
Munirudeen Kolawole presented an overview of 8BM’s fintech platform — a digital financial solution integrated into the company’s operations to ensure transparency, accountability, and speed in financial transactions.
According to him, the platform enables real-time tracking of payments, seamless transaction recording, and better financial access for truck owners, cargo managers, and logistics partners within the supply chain.
A major highlight of the session was the awarding of full academic scholarships to four outstanding students in recognition of their academic excellence.
Tobi Badmus, CEO of 8BM Freight, expressed deep gratitude to all attendees and described the event as a homecoming. “This is more than a business expansion. It is a return to my roots, to the community that shaped me and to the place that will now power our future,” he said.
Badmus also noted the personal significance of the date, which coincided with his mother’s birthday. “Mummy, I celebrate you today not just as a mother, but as a builder. Your wisdom, quiet strength, and love have shaped the man I am,” he said, paying tribute to Gbelewade Badmus.
Also, Justice Adeigbe, successor to the late Asiwaju Ajadi Badmus, father of the CEO, applauds the company’s decision to expand to Osogbo and offer opportunities for young people.
Speaking on behalf of the community, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji, the Ataoja of Osogbo, who was represented, assured the company of the community’s full support, while referencing the elder Badmus’s legacy of selfless service and leadership.
