The All Progressive Congress, Adamawa State, has continued to witness an increased influx of new members as the 2027 general elections draw near.
The party formally welcomed Abubakar into the party and a host of his supporters, assuring him of equal rights and opportunities in line with the party’s constitution.
Diauhaq Abubakar declared his intention to contest the governorship of Adamawa State, citing his desire to improve the socio-economic well-being of the people and reposition the state for development.

Abubakar made his aspiration known in Yola under the platform of a new political movement, Abamu Ahuta (Give the Masses Their Right), which he said was driven by the need to promote inclusive governance and grassroots development.
He said his governorship aspiration was motivated by his commitment to the overall development of Adamawa State.
Stressing that his agenda is to include social development, youth empowerment through skills acquisition, improved livelihood for women and children, and changing the narrative of the state for the better
Speaking at the event, Idris Shaibu, the APC Chairman in the state, described the party as an inclusive platform that welcomes all members without discrimination.
Shaibu said that since November 2014, members of the APC have continued to enjoy equal rights within the party, regardless of when they joined.
The APC Organising Secretary, Mustapha Atiku Ribadu, commended Abubakar for joining what he described as the “winning party,” noting that the decision was bold and timely.
Ribadu assured members of the Abamu Ahuta movement of the party’s full cooperation and support, stressing that the APC remained open to all willing to contribute to its growth.

Also speaking, Malam Mahmud Nuhu Ribadu, son of the National Security Adviser (NSA), said the aspirant’s mission was clear, adding that his youthfulness and capacity would enable him to deliver on his promises if given the opportunity.
