7even Interactive decade-long odyssey since 2015 has been a wild ride, marked by twists and turns that have tested the mantle of its people.
Yet, through it all, the creative agency has remained steadfast, its irrepressible can-do spirit illuminating a beacon of hope and resilience.
Like the typical Nigerian story, what you see at every turn is that can-do spirit that speaks to resilience, dedication, and forthrightness built with a mix of creativity. And, like every average Nigerian would do; 7even Interactive brings its ‘A-Game’ to the table in dealing with clients’ briefs.
Founded in 2015, 7even Interactive have been redefining creativity in Nigeria’s advertising industry from the get-go with the mantra ‘upward and forward.’ According to Taiwo Agboola, CEO of 7even Interactive, the mantra encapsulates the agency’s vision and directs its plans and actions.
“In our first ten years, we established ourselves as the agency to beat in the advertising industry in Nigeria in terms of quality campaigns, clientele, revenue and human capacity development,” Agboola said, disclosing that the agency intend to grow its client base in triple folds and quadruple its revenue in the next ten years.
“So, the agency will continue on this success trajectory further entrenching itself, not only in the ad industry but in the overall marketing communications industry both locally and internationally.”
On Saturday, 22 February, 2025, 7even Interactive, one of Nigeria’s advertising agencies celebrated its ten years of operations. It was a day that its management and staff, led by Agboola, the agency’s CEO, brought their clients, regulators, peer agencies, friends and associates, as well as the media to a party to mark the landmark anniversary.
Since its inception in 2015, 7even Interactive has disrupted the Nigerian advertising landscape with its bold, unconventional, and result-driven campaigns. Founded with the vision of enhancing interaction between businesses and their target audiences, the agency has carved a niche for itself as a creative powerhouse that thrives on audacity, innovation, and cutting-edge technology.
The birth of 7even Interactive coincided with Nigeria’s economic downturn, a time when many businesses slashed their marketing budgets. However, instead of seeing this as a setback, the agency leveraged its deep market understanding to create high-impact campaigns that delivered measurable results.
This strategic approach quickly positioned 7even Interactive as a formidable force in the industry, attracting clients who sought out-of-the-box ideas to amplify their brand presence. “We have become that agency that clients reach out to when they need to do something very daring,” said Agboola.
Despite its relatively young age, 7even Interactive has thrived in Nigeria’s competitive advertising space. The agency’s portfolio includes numerous successful campaigns that have not only met business objectives but have also won prestigious industry awards both locally and internationally.
From crafting memorable advertising narratives to designing consumer-centric experiences, the agency’s success is built on a combination of experience, youth, and ingenuity. Its philosophy is simple yet powerful: challenge conventions, embrace technology, and create disruptive yet meaningful brand messages.
According to Agboola, “unlike traditional advertising agencies, 7even Interactive dares to sail uncharted waters. Our ability to craft localized communication strategies that resonate with Nigerian consumers has set us apart from our competitors.”
According to him, the agency has relied on business referrals on the back of deepening clients’ experience through its creative delivery. “When clients want crazy ideas to help push their brands, they talk to us. This reputation has led to multiple business referrals, allowing us to acquire new clients without the usual pitching process.”
Agboola also disclosed that the agency’s new mantra, ‘Taking Clients to the MOON’ (Milk Opportunities Outta Nothing) reflects its commitment to helping brands achieve the impossible.
Since inception, 7even Interactive has been in the forefront of shaping brand narratives in Nigeria. A prime example of the agency’s ability to craft compelling brand stories is the Fidelity Bank “Tough Job” Campaign.
This campaign redefined how banks communicate their value propositions. Instead of the typical banking hall and cashier visuals, the “Tough Job” TV commercial showcased individuals engaging in strenuous physical exercises, symbolizing the bank’s commitment to guiding customers through challenging financial decisions.
According to Agboola, the fresh and imaginative approach set Fidelity Bank apart from competitors and earned widespread acclaim. For him, creativity remains the most valuable asset in today’s digitally-driven marketing landscape.
“It is the soul of advertising, determining how well a brand captures attention, engages its audience, and remains memorable. I believe that even the best marketing strategy can fall flat without creativity. Conversely, a less-than-perfect product can experience initial success if marketed with a compelling, well-crafted narrative.”

At the heart of 7even Interactive is a leadership philosophy that values individuality, creativity, and collaboration. Recognizing that an agency is made up of people from diverse backgrounds, the leadership encourages employees to bring their unique perspectives to the table, ensuring a dynamic and inclusive approach to problem-solving.
Agboola noted recently that the advertising landscape has undergone a significant transformation, especially with the rise of digital media. While traditional media (radio, print, and TV) once dominated, the industry now faces competition from social media influencers who provide brands with direct access to audiences.
This shift, according to him, has led to reduced revenue for agencies and has also introduced challenges around industry standards, ethics, and trust. However, 7even Interactive sees an opportunity rather than a threat.
“I believe that established firms can leverage their expertise in strategy, demographics, and psychographics to dominate the digital advertising space. By integrating influencers into their campaigns, agencies can bridge the gap between creativity and audience reach.”
Unlike many of its peers that are, only now, adapting to digital advertising, 7even Interactive saw the shift coming early and incorporated digital marketing strategies into its work from the onset.
This made the agency maintain relevance across both the traditional and new media platforms. “Despite the challenges posed by competition and economic uncertainties, we remain confident that we will continue to redefine advertising in Nigeria.”
However, speaking directly to the 7even Interactive 10 year’s story, Agboola said that the agency was founded to amplify interaction between businesses and their target audiences, especially their clients and customers.
According to him, business relationships are geared towards the realization of needs. For the customer, the needs are the purchase of goods or services while for the business owner; it is the sale of his or her goods or services.
“For both parties’ needs to be satisfied there must be an effective interaction between them. It is the need to provide a platform that ensures that this effective interaction happens that brought us together to found 7even Interactive, a disruptive Nigerian creative powerhouse in 2015,” Agboola said.
