Nigeria on Tuesday added 490 cases of coronavirus confirmations, taking the country’s figure to 17,148.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control said those discharged so far were 5,623, while 455 deaths were recorded.
Of the new cases, Lagos State led with 142, followed by the FCT having 60. Bayelsa and Rivers States came third and fourth, with 54 and 39, respectively.
Other states and their figures were Delta-37, Oyo-30, Kaduna-26, Imo-23, Enugu-19, Kwara-17, Gombe-11, Ondo-10, Bauchi-8, Ogun-7, Borno-6, and Benue-1.
On the global scene, as of 1:57pm CEST, 16 June 2020, there had been 7,941,791 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 434,796 deaths, reported to WHO.
