For its sustained investment in capacity building and human capacity development among the youths, the West African Students Union has lauded First Bank PLC for its continental roles and development, just as the Union honoured Egbodogo Festus Adesinbo, a Business Development Manager located in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.
The choice of Adesinbo and First Bank PLC was borne out of First Bank PLC investment in African youths development, its capacity to reduce unemployment in Nigeria and West Africa, which prompted the West African Students Union to honour the Manager and First Bank PLC with a deserved award, urging the management of First Bank PLC to continue to play an impactful role in developing the capacity of youths in Nigeria.
A delegation of the Sub-Regional Students Union led by Jimmy Kennedy and Dominique Kakou from the Republic of Benin and Cote D’Ivoire respectively, identified with the key roles the continental bank is playing in the capacity building of the youths across the country.

They noted that the Award of Excellence to Business Development Manager of Kwara State Office of First Bank PLC in Ilorin, Kwara state capital on Tuesday, asking other corporate organisations operating in the West African countries to toe the path of greatness that will make the lives of African youths better off.
They commended Adesinbo and management of First Bank for their various programmes and initiatives for empowering the youths in Nigeria which is part of the fulfilment of Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibilities initiated and sustained on youths development.
While urging First Bank PLC to invest more in human capital development and capacity building, especially among the youths, the delegation described Adesinbo as a champion of youths development and charged him and the entire management of First Bank PLC to continue to work towards building the capacity of Nigerian youths and reducing the unemployment rate among the youths.
