Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, on Tuesday said that he’s committed to constructing a road that will last for more than 50-100 years before to dies.
The governor said this during the groundbreaking ceremony of the road construction in Tashan Durumi, Toro local government area of the State.
The road construction includes 36.65km Dott-Dado-Baraza, 26.8km of Mararraban Liman-Katagum-Polchi-Katsinawa, 25km Dagu-Ningi, 8.86km Nabordo-Gidan Doka-Jama’a, 6.71km Mararraban Dajin-Dajin and 4.91km Gadar Maiwa-Zakara roads.
According to the governor, said that most of the approved roads to be constructed are close to the city without development “We can no longer tolerate a situation where metropolises and other communities around Bauchi are abundant, and they can not go, that’s why we look for partnership with the Federal Government, World Bank, and the Islamic Bank for the construction “.

We pray that this road will be durable to humanity and people will not suffer the way we suffered before, added that “I can see the jubilation, excitement and the happiness in the faces of people, and that’s what we want because it’s your money and we’re using it judiciously ”
He further said that not all roads will be service dressing, but the roads to be there for the next 50 or 100 years to come.
He said that the reason for the road construction is for the younger generations not to suffer as their ancestors suffered before, but to have a good road in order to make their movement easy and fast.
The governor said that the road of Mararraban Liman-Katagum has become a marketplace where all people’s agricultural products are taken there for market, which will make business and other things very easy, which is what makes it a centre of commerce.
He urged the contractors for good and quality work for the development of Bauchi State and Nigeria at large.
