Wema Bank Plc has announced the resignation of its Non-Executive Director Opeyemi Bademosi, which took effect December 31, 2013 after completing his 4-year tenure which began with his appointment to the Board in May 2009.
Until his resignation, Opeyemi Bademosi was a representative of the interests of SW8 Investment Limited and served on the Board meritoriously throughout this period.
An astute businessman of repute, Ope Bademosi is a co-founder and director of Stanmark Holdings Limited, a company involved in the importation of production materials for pharmaceutical and paint companies. Owing to his business acumen, he was instrumental to the joint venture between Stanmark Cocoa Processing Company Limited and Cadbury Nigeria Plc in the processing of cocoa seeds into semi-finished products and also involved in the mobilisation of human and financial capital for the project.
Bademosi is a 1977 graduate of the University of Lagos. His experience spans business and project management, clearing and forwarding business, consultancy services (oil services companies), importation and exportation and facilitating entrepreneurship development programs.
He is a board member of notable companies in Nigeria. Some of these companies include Stanmark Cocoa Processing Company Limited, Energy Work Limited and Lansear Transport Limited all of which provide services to reputable retail and corporate organisations.
