Residents of some parts of Abuja including Apo, Durumi, Galadimawa, Gudu and its environs will face the challenge of water scarcity from Wednesday, August 14 to Friday, August 16 next week.
This is as the Federal Capital Territory Water Board disclosed that water supply to these settlements will be disrupted to enable officials of the Agency and the CGC Company handling the extension work on Nnamdi Azikiwe Expressway, by Apo, to connect water from the existing line to the newly laid pipeline.
Anthony Ogunleye, Chief Press Secretary, FCT Administration who made this known in a statement said normal water supply will be restored to these areas on 19th of August, after the connection works.
Ogunleye advised residents of the affected areas to store enough water that will last through the period of disruptions in water supply.
According to him, “the Board also expressed its apologies to residents of the affected areas for any inconveniences that may be experienced as a result of the disruptions”.
