Governor Nyesom Wike has reacted to the recent tribunal judgments that upheld the elections of PDP candidates for the national and state assemblies, saying the verdict by the Election Petitions Tribunal in Abuja further confirmed that polls in Rivers State at the 2015 general elections were peaceful and credible.

Governor Wike’s felicitation with Olaka Nwogu (a senator) and Osinakachukwu Ideozu, whose elections were upheld by the National and State Houses of Assembly Tribunal in Abuja on Tuesday, also rejoiced with the elected PDP House of Representatives members from the state whose elections were upheld by the Tribunal.

Wike noted that the tribunal judgments, which confirmed peaceful and credible elections in all the three senatorial districts of the state, and the state’s federal constituencies, confirmed the overwhelming acceptance of the PDP in Rivers State.

He urged all federal lawmakers from Rivers State to provide the necessary representation for their constituents in the bid to enhance the development of the state and Nigeria.

Meanwhile, the Rivers PDP has expressed happiness over the verdict of the Election Petitions Tribunal, which upheld the elections of its candidates at the last elections.
